A great year at raceahead with record number of participants serviced. Nearly 300,000 participants were timed across 30 events! Biggest event of the year was the Manchester Marathon with 36,000 participants. In early December we celebrated together and enjoyed a festive meal and fun in Bath.
2024 kicked off in February with the London Winter Run and Brighton Half Marathon. Attention shifted quickly to our April events with the London Landmarks Half Marathon, Newport Marathon and the big one, Manchester Marathon.
May is always a busy month, and this year was no exception. This year we provided racetiming services to the Etape Caledonia cycle event in Scotland, the always amazing Hackney Half Festival and the Cardiff Bay 10k all taking place.
June takes us into Triathlon season, with the opening event in our calendar being hosted at one of the mostly spectator venues – Blenheim Place Triathlon. Windsor Triathlon follows and the month is finished off with the JLL Property Triathlon. Combined with a 10k in Yateley, a cycle event in Wales (Dragon Ride) and a swim event in Bournemouth (BHF Pier to Pier Swim), it certainly keeps us very busy.
July sees a flurry of 10ks. The 2nd race in the Yateley 10k series, Porthcawl 10k and the big one – London 10k. Each event highlighted our commitment to delivering world-class racetiming services.
In August there is always a little lull in events when holidays are squeezed in, and some weekends are spent at home! Its just the Yateley 10k series to finish off at the start of August.
On to the Autumn where the half Marathons come think and fast. We provide support at the Great North Run and our racetiming services to the Cardiff Half, Manchester Half and Oxford Half. The final Triathlon of the year happens in mid-September with the Impetus Triathlon taking place at Dorney Lake. September also sees the BHF London To Brighton Offroad and then our last event of the year is the AGE Uk Leeds Abbey Dash.
Another great year supporting some of the countries biggest event organisers and charities. Our calendar is already looking full for 2025, so looking like another successful year here at raceahead.
