Giles Hancock
Managing Director
For nearly 20 years Giles has been working at raceahead, starting as a weekender setting up and timing events, through to sales calls, managing the logistics and now the managing director. He took over the reins of raceahead in 2016 from where the company has gone from strength to strength, now providing event timing services to the biggest events in the UK.
Before taking on the world of timing, Giles was a Team GB athlete with the Modern Pentathlon team in Bath. Having the opportunity to travel the world while competing for your country is something that he will be forever grateful for.
Amy Stennett
Operations Manager
Amy started at raceahead in 2018 following event manager roles at Bath Council and Virgin Sport. She now has a wealth of knowledge within the services side of mass participation; what she doesn’t know about envelopes, bibs and printing is not worth knowing!
Amy is a keen runner and when she’s not doing her lunchtime stretching sessions, she will be out ‘getting the miles in’. She has completed many half marathon’s and already has many more planned for the future.
Charlie Roberts
Timing Manager
As the newest member of the team, Charlie joined raceahead in summer 2023. New to the timing world but no stranger to events, completing the London Landmarks Half Marathon was a particular highlight for him.
Outside of work Charlie is an avid Arsenal fan and keen footballer, leading his 6-a-side team in the Bristol leagues. When not playing or watching football he is a weekly pub quizzer taking on the brightest brains in his local pub!
